He bought 120 meters of plastic tubes to protect his house from flooding
The local government sent out a flood warning to several parts of Texas but few took it seriously. Randy Wagner listened.
He was concerned that his entire property would be flooded and feared the cost of the resulting damages. Most of his neighbors were skeptical that the flood would affect them. Randy, on the other hand, set about professional-grade protection measures in case the worst should happen.
He researched extensively online about how to stop flooding and learned about a plastic dam called the Aqua Dam.
He bought 120 meters, which cost him $8,300. His neighbors thought he was crazy for spending so much on this plastic "sausage."
But when the water began to rise, his investment proved its worth. Everything around him was flooded, but his Aqua Dam held back water that was over two feet high.
His property and home were saved while all his surroundings were covered with water.
I think these photos speak for themselves, right? Randy felt it was all worth it in the end.
Here is Randy's story on video:
Randy Wagner is proud that he was prepared. His experience proves that sometimes it pays off to take that extra precautionary step and to not always listen to the doubtful opinions of others. Make up your own mind—it takes courage, but you may end up being very grateful in the end.
