Check out this unique and gorgeous villa in the Swiss mountainside!

Everyone who has seen "Lord of the Rings" remembers the super cozy homes where the hobbits with humongous hairy feet lived. And honestly who wasn't thinking: "Oh, if only I could live in such a gorgeous home!"? Perhaps it was this thought that led to a very similar house being built in the mountains of Switzerland.

From above, the small village of Vals doesn't seem like much to look at, but what is that strange round thing on that slope there?

Perfectly disguised to match its surroundings, there is a house hidden right in the middle of the hill. It's the "Villa Vals" — a project by architects Bjarne Mastenbroek and Christian Müller.

However, the house is not just extremely well hidden, it also offers an incredible view of the village, mountains and nature, which can be enjoyed through one of the many windows or on the spacious terrace.

Spanning over 520 square feet, there is enough room for up to 12 people to meet for a meal at this imposing table.

Various designers worked on the layout of the rooms and the look of the furniture pieces.

The interior may not be as cozy and rustic as in "Lord of the Rings" but honestly the view from the window more than makes up for it.

The house has a total of six rooms, three of which are bedrooms each with its own bathroom.

When the mountains are covered in snow in the winter, you can cuddle up inside right next to the chimney.

Apart from the stairs up to the terrace, you can reach the house through an underground tunnel.

At night, the villa is illuminated like a pearl in the mountainside. You always have a stunning view 24/7 — both from the house and of the house itself.
