1. Funfetti Cake Soap

You'll Need:

For the funfetti cake:

  • 4 lbs glycerin soap
  • soap colorants
  • 1 tsp almond essential oil
  • 2-3 drops vanilla essential oil
  • colored bar soap, cut into small pieces

For the frosting:

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp shea butter
  • 4 tbsp cocoa butter
  • ⅓ cup baking soda
  • ⅓ cup starch
  • 3 tbsp citric acid
  • 1 tbsp alumina
  • soap colorants
  • sprinkles for decoration
  • mini soaps for decoration

Here's How:

1.1. Cut the glycerin soap into small chunks, add the pieces to a heat-resistant bowl, and melt them over a water bath. Add the soap colorants and essential oils, mix everything together, and leave the soap to cool.

1.2. While the soap cools, dice the colored bar soap into small chunks and mix into the cooled soap mixture.

1.3. Pour the liquid soap into a silicone cake pan and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Set some of the soap aside, as you'll need it later for the decoration.

1.4. Heat the coconut oil and shea butter in a heat-resistant bowl over a water bath. Add the cocoa butter, melt it together with the other ingredients, then leave the mixture to cool.

1.5. Beat together the coconut oil mixture with the baking soda, starch, citric acid, and alumina, then color the "frosting" with the soap colorants.

1.6. Frost the chilled funfetti cake soap with the soap frosting and throw some sprinkles on top as decoration. Fill a piping bag with the soap mixture you set aside in Step #1.3 and pipe small rose swirls on top of the cake (one for each slice). Add the mini soaps to the top of each swirl, and your funfetti cake soap is done! Just be careful — it looks good enough to eat, but you really shouldn't!
