11 Cool Tricks Using Pop It Fidget Toys

Have you seen the cool new toy on the block, the Pop It fidget toy?! If you don't know about these fun toys yet, the Pop It fidget toy is a colorful silicone mold that has individual bubbles or bumps that can be pushed in and out, just like reusable bubble wrap. You can find Pop Its in tons of different shapes, sizes, and colors. Although this toy is usually used for its calming effect that helps reduce stress, it can also be used in tons of other interesting ways! These 11 cool tricks will show you just how versatile this trendy new toy can be. From teaching you some new games to showing you how to make helpful household items, we'll show you how to really make the Pop It pop!

1. Find The Candy

You'll Need:

  • Pop It fidget toy
  • M&M's or Skittles

Here's How:

1.1 Place 1 M&M or Skittle under the Pop It and take turns guessing where it is by pushing down the bumps in the toy. Whoever can't push down their bump has found the candy and gets to eat it!

2. Chic Cement Coaster

You'll Need:

  • Pop It fidget toy
  • marbles
  • cement
  • cardboard
  • duct tape

Here's How:

2.1 Create a frame for the Pop It using cardboard and duct tape and secure it to the outer edge of the toy. Make a fun pattern inside the Pop It by placing colorful marbles inside the wells in the mold.

2.2 Pour cement into the mold, covering the marbles completely. Even out the surface of the cement and let it dry.

2.3 Remove the frame and carefully peel the Pop It mold away from the cement. Now your fun new coasters are ready to be used!

3. Tea Cough Drops

You'll Need:

  • Pop It fidget toy
  • 1 cup tea 
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • powdered sugar

Here's How:

3.1 If you find yourself with a cup of cold tea, you don't have to throw it away; it can be used to make some delicious homemade cough drops. Boil the tea and sugar in a medium-sized saucepan, then add in the lime juice.

3.2 Pour the caramelized tea into the Pop It mold, then sprinkle some powdered sugar on top. Let the drops solidify, and your homemade tea cough drops are ready to be eaten!

4. Yogurt & Berry Breakfast Topping

5.2 Let the toothpaste harden, then remove the drops of toothpaste from the mold.

5.3 Put the drops in an empty glass jar and you can take them with you wherever you go!

6. DIY Jewelry

You'll Need:

  • casting resin
  • glitter
  • chain necklace
  • blank ring base
  • blank earring base

Here's How:

6.1 Stir together the casting resin and glitter – we chose to use 2 different colors of glitter, but feel free to choose whichever colors you want.

6.2 Pour the glitter resin into the wells of the Pop It toy.

6.3 Place a chain necklace, 2 blank earring bases, and a blank ring base in the resin.

6.4 Let the resin harden, then carefully remove the your gorgeous new jewelry from the Pop It mold.

7. Flavored Ice Cubes

You'll Need:

  • Pop It fidget toy
  • water
  • fruit juice
  • mint, chopped
  • lime juice

Here's How:

7.1 Chop some mint leaves and mix them with water and lime juice. Pour the mint-flavored water, fruit juice, and water into different molds in the Pop It toy. Transfer the Pop It to the freezer and freeze the flavored ice cubes.

7.2 Add the the flavored ice cubes to soda, water, or tea to give your drink some new flavors!

8. XXL Gummy Bears Treats

You'll Need:

  • bear-shaped Pop It fidget toy
  • gummy bears
  • M&M's or Skittles

Here's How:

8.1 Pick out a handful of gummy bears that are the same color, then melt them in the microwave.

8.2 Fill the wells in the bear-shaped Pop It with Skittles or M&M's, then pour the melted gummy bears over the entire toy. Let the liquified gummy bears harden, then carefully remove your giant gummy bear from the mold!

9. Perfectly Fried Eggs

You'll Need:

  • Pop It fidget toy
  • 2 eggs

Here's How:

9.1 Fill a frying pan with a thin layer of water, then crack 2 eggs on top of the Pop It and place it in the frying pan. Put the lid on the frying pan and cook the eggs for 5 minutes.

9.2 Carefully remove the fried eggs from the mold and dig in!

10. Magnetic Grocery List

You'll Need:

  • craft knife
  • hot glue gun
  • adhesive magnetic strips

Here's How:

10.1 Draw or write the names of the groceries you tend to run out of the most often on a piece of paper.

10.2 Use a craft knife to cut out 1 strip of the Pop It.

10.3 Use a hot glue gun to glue the Pop It strip onto the piece of paper with your grocery list on it, lining up the bubbles with the items on your list.

10.4 Stick 4 adhesive magnet strips to the back of the piece of paper.

10.5 Stick the magnetic shopping list to your refrigerator and when you run out of something, just push down the bump in the Pop It that's next to that item.

11. Phone Case

You'll Need:

  • 2 Pop It fidget toys
  • craft knife
  • hot glue gun
  • double-sided tape

Here's How:

11.1 Use a craft knife to cut 2 Pop It toys so that they match the size of your cell phone. Use a hot glue gun to glue the pieces together.

11.2 Cut out a hole for the camera, then secure your cell phone inside your new case using double-sided tape.
