1. Pack More Clothes At Once

You'll Need:

  • garbage bags
  • vacuum

Here's How:

Stack your clothes in piles, put them in a garbage bag, and then use a vacuum to suck out the air from the bags. Then just tie up the bag and put as many of these bags of clothes into a cardboard box as possible.

2. Unbreakable Glass Packaging

You'll Need:

  • plush socks

Here's How:

Wrap your breakables in plush socks to keep them protected once they're stacked up in boxes.

3. Keep Clothes Clean

You'll Need:

  • garbage bags

Here's How:

If you have a lot of clothes that you put on hangers, you don't need to take them down one by one. Just pull a garbage bag from underneath all the way up and then tie the drawstring from the garbage bag around the hangers. Now you can easily pack up all those clothes and keep them clean during the move!

4. Leakproof Liquids

You'll Need:

  • zipper storage bags

Here's How:

Simply twist the lids off your containers, pull a zipper storage bag over them, and put the lids back on the containers. Now they're leakproof and you can even store them laying down or upside down.

5. Easy Transport with a Suitcase

You'll Need:

  • suitcase

Here's How:

You probably have a few suitcases that you plan on bringing to your new home. Put them to good use and just fill them with your books. Ideally, the suitcases will have wheels and now you can easily take your books from A to B without having to carry all that weight.

6. Easily Open Moving Boxes

If you put tape on your boxes, the only way to open them back up is by using scissors or a knife. To avoid this, you can just fold in the ends of the tape. Use these tabs later to easily remove the tape from the boxes.

7. Safely Store Your Jewelry

You'll Need:

  • 2 combs
  • zipper storage bag

Here's How:

Hang your long necklaces between the prongs of a comb. Put a second comb on top of it and wrap up your jewelry. Now place it in a zipper storage bag. When you're unpacking, there won't be any tangles or knots.

8. Securely Transport Your Spices

Simply put all your spices in pots and then place them in cardboard boxes. Put the lids on and now you won't have your spices flying around all over the place.

9. Glass Protection

You'll Need:

  • pool noodle

Here's How:

Cut a pool noodle to size and clamp it to the edges of the mirror. Now nothing can happen to the glass.

10. Air Cushions for Vases and Glasses

You'll Need:

  • zipper storage bags
  • straw
  • duct tape

Here's How:

Blow air into a zipper storage bag with a straw and quickly seal it. Now place vases, glasses, and other breakables between your homemade air cushions. To make sure there's no way your fragile items can break, tape 2 cushions together and place them in a cardboard box.

11. Label Your Boxes

You'll Need:

  • colorful paper
  • marker

Here's How:

Write numbers on colorful paper and stick them onto boxes according to their "destination." Write the same numbers on the doors of your new apartment. Now your helpers will know what box needs to go where.
