You'll get that space back in your garage and do some fun, DIY remodeling while you're at it. You'll never tire of old tires again!

1. LED Coffee Table

You'll Need:

  • 2 car tires
  • hot glue
  • rope
  • wooden panel
  • LED fairy lights
  • glass pane

Here's How:

1.1 Using a hot glue gun, glue the rope evenly around a car tire in a ring shape until the surface of the tire is covered. Repeat this technique with the second tire.

1.2 Glue a circular wooden panel over the hole in the center of one of the tires using a hot glue gun.

1.3 Put a generous amount of hot glue in 4 different places (more or less equidistant from one another) on top of the tire that has a wooden panel glued to its base. Secure the second tire on top.

1.4 Arrange LED fairy lights in the center of the second tire and place a round pane of glass on top.

2. Elevated Flower Planter

You'll Need:

  • car tire
  • white paint
  • 3 birch tree trunk logs of equal length
  • wooden panel
  • screws
  • drill & drill bits
  • hot glue
  • coconut shell mat
  • potting soil
  • plants, moss & stones

Here's How:

2.1 Paint the tire white.

2.2 Attach the birch tree trunk logs to the wooden panel with screws. Drill a few evenly-spaced holes in the wooden panel using a drill bit.

2.3 Glue the tire to the wooden panel with hot glue.

2.4 Place a coconut shell mat inside the tire and fill it with potting soil.

2.5 Plant the flowers or plants you've decided to grow in your new planter, then decorate the interior of the tire with moss, stones, and any additional decorations you'd like to add.

3. Seesaw For Kids

You'll Need:

  • car tire
  • yellow paint
  • blue paint
  • drill & drill bits
  • 2 wooden blocks
  • screws & washers
  • wooden plank
  • thick rope
  • stickers or paper for decoration

Here's How:

3.1 Cut the tire in half and paint one of the halves yellow.

3.2 Drill 2 holes in the yellow half of the tire at both ends, making 4 holes in total. The holes should go through both sides of the tire.

3.3 Position a wooden block inside the tire at each end. Line the 2 blocks up with the holes you made on each side and firmly attach them to the tire with screws and washers.

3.4 Place a wooden plank on top of the blocks and secure it in place using screws. Once the wooden plank is screwed into the blocks on both sides, paint the plank blue.

3.5 Drill 2 large holes in the wooden plank using a thick drill bit

3.6 Thread a rope through the holes and knot it on both ends under the blue plank.

3.7 Make eyes and a mouth out of paper and glue them to one end of the seesaw using a hot glue gun.

4. Dog Bed

You'll Need:

  • car tire
  • box cutter
  • stencils
  • spray paint
  • dog bed cushion

Here's How:

4.1 Cut the top of the tire off with a box cutter.

4.2 Tape stencils around the exterior of the tire and spray paint shapes on it.

4.3 Put a dog bed cushion inside of the decorated tire and your dog will be cozy in no time!
