4 Stylish Braids That Anyone Can Master
Do you have medium or long hair and want to style it in a fun way that doesn't leave you with cramped fingers or mean spending hours in front of the mirror? Then you've come to the right place! The following 4 braids may look elaborate, but that's really just for everyone else's benefit, because they will be so fast and easy for you to style by yourself.
1. Twisted Braid
1.1 Tie your hair into a low ponytail and then divide the hair into two equally thick pieces.
1.2 Twist one of the pieces towards the head.
1.3 Pull the twisted piece over the untwisted piece.
1.4 Twist the originally untwisted piece and then pull it over the original twisted piece.
1.5 Repeat the process until you reach the tips and then tie off the end with a hair tie. Now you have a twisted braid that not only looks pretty, but one which will leave you with natural beachy waves once you untie it later.
2. Pull-Through Braid
2.1 Tie your hair into a low ponytail and then tie off another section a few inches down, depending on the length of your hair.
2.2 Spread the hair between the first 2 hair ties to either side.
2.3 Twist the ponytail and pull it through the space.
2.4 Repeat the process until you reach the end. Everyone will think this look took you way more time and effort than it actually did!
3. Hybrid Ponytail Braid
3.1 Tie your hair into a low ponytail. Take a section of hair from the front center section of the ponytail, braid it, and tie it off at the end.
3.2 Tie off a section a few inches down, depending on the length of your hair, and slightly fan out the unbraided parts on either side.
3.3 Repeat the process until you reach the end, and you're left with a fancy-looking 'do that anyone can pull off.
4. Mermaid Half Braid
4.1 Pull thin strands from the hairline to the back of the head and tie them together like a French braid by repeatedly adding thin strands from the front.
4.2 Continue to French braid until you reach the neck, and then make a regular braid until the end. This look's much easier than a full French braid or mermaid braid, and only requires half the effort!
