1. Frosty The Melting Snowman

You'll Need:

  • cotton batting
  • 1 large white styrofoam ball
  • scarf, gloves & hat
  • 3 wool pom poms
  • 1 small red styrofoam ball
  • black & white construction paper
  • hot glue gun
  • 5 black beads

Here's How:

1.1 Position some cotton batting on the floor where you'd like to make your melting snowman decoration. Place a large white styrofoam ball on top of the cotton batting, then put on the snowman's hat and scarf, position the pom poms where the snowman's buttons should go, and find a place for its gloves. Make some eyes out of black & white construction paper, then glue the red styrofoam ball in the center of the white styrofoam ball to make the nose. Glue on the eyes and the black beads to make a mouth. What a cozy way to decorate your living room!

2. Santa's Little Garden Helpers

You'll Need:

  • pantyhose
  • paper cup
  • cement
  • rubber band
  • red acrylic paint

Here's How:

2.1 Cut 1 leg off of the pantyhose.

2.2 Cut a wide strip off of the top of the leg of the pantyhose.

2.3 Cut the bottom off of a paper cup, then slide the leg of the pantyhose over the opening in the base of the cup.

2.4 Pour the cement into the leg of the pantyhose, using the paper cup to help guide the cement inside.

2.5 Remove the paper cup and tie a knot at the top of the pantyhose. Push the majority of the cement towards the bottom so that the shape starts to look like a head with a Santa hat on top.

2.6 Dip the wide strip of pantyhose in cement and place it where the brim of the Santa hat should be.

2.7 Twist a small amount of cement underneath the brim of the Santa hat and tie it with a rubber band to make a nose.

2.8 Suspend the top of the pantyhose and let the cement dry. Once Santa's little helper is dry, paint its hat red with acrylic paint. Now your garden is as festive as can be!
