It might look a little cold and gray at first, but if you know the right techniques, bringing out the beauty in all of your cement projects is easy. From homemade photo clips to a unique jewelry stand, these 6 DIY projects will help you make some new, rock-solid decorations for your home!

1. Picturesque Photo Clips

You'll Need:

  • ice cube tray
  • cement
  • paper clips
  • tape
  • paint & paintbrush

Here's How:

1.1 To make quick & easy photo clips, pour some liquid cement into the individual wells of an ice cube tray. Place 1 paper clip in the center of each well, then let the cement set.

1.2 Remove the hardened cement blocks from the ice cube tray, then place a piece of tape at a diagonal on each one, dividing the cement block in half. Paint the bottom ½ of the cement cube whatever color you'd like, then let the paint dry. Repeat this same process with a second color of paint on the other ½ of the cement cube.

1.3 Once both colors of paint have dried, slide your favorite photos into the paper clips and display them around your home!

2. Snazzy Strawberry Magnet

You'll Need:

  • silicone putty
  • strawberry
  • cement
  • magnet
  • red, green & black paint

Here's How:

2.1 To make a fun strawberry-shaped magnet for your fridge, cover a strawberry with silicone putty, making a mold. Carefully remove the strawberry from the center and pour the liquid cement into the mold.

2.2 Gently press a small magnet into the liquid cement and let it dry.

2.3 Once the cement has hardened, remove the silicone putty and paint your new strawberry magnet with the red, green, and black paint. Once the paint dries, you'll have a cute new accent for your fridge!

3.2 Place a candle wick in the center of the cement and position a wooden skewer over the top of the paper cup to keep the wick upright. Melt some candle wax and pour it into the paper cup.

3.3 Let both the cement and the candle wax harden, remove the paper cup, and let your gorgeous coastal candles light up your home!

4.2 Remove the yogurt cup and screw a copper pipe into the copper tee embedded in the cement.

4.3 Build out the jewelry tree with some additional copper pipes and copper tees so that there are multiple branches.

5.2 Once the cement has hardened, remove the cap of the mushroom from the jar, cut off the excess pantyhose, and paint the cement red. Once the red paint has dried, cut a sponge into the shape of a small circle, dip it in white paint, and use it to stamp small white dots on the cap of the mushroom.
