1. Watermelon Ice Cubes

You'll Need:

  • 1 watermelon
  • Ziploc bag
  • rolling pin
  • ice cube trays

Here's How:

1.1 Remove the rind of the watermelon and chop up the fruit. Transfer the pieces of watermelon to a Ziploc bag and seal it. Use a rolling pin to crush up the pieces of watermelon until they become a thick pulp.

1.2 Pour the liquified watermelon into an ice cube tray, transfer the ice cube tray to the freezer, and freeze the watermelon pulp. After just a few hours, you can add delicious watermelon-flavored ice cubes to your drinks!

2. Watermelon Glasses

You'll Need:

  • glass jars
  • green thread
  • acrylic paint
  • glue

Here's How:

Wrap some green thread around the bottom of an empty jar and glue it in place. Paint watermelon seeds on the rest of the jar with acrylic paint, then fill the glass with a pink or red drink. These cute watermelon glasses will brighten up anything you choose to serve in them!

3. Circular Watermelon Slices

You'll Need:

  • 1 watermelon
  • empty Pringles can
  • wooden skewers or toothpicks

Here's How:

3.1 Watermelon is usually served in triangular slices, but sometimes eating down to the rind can get pretty messy. Another easy way to serve watermelon is by cutting it into circular slices! Start off by cleaning an empty Pringles can thoroughly and cutting off the top of the watermelon. Insert the Pringles can into the center of the watermelon until it hits the opposite end, then pull the Pringles can back out.

3.2 Remove the watermelon from the Pringles can, cut it into even segments, and insert a wooden skewer or toothpick into each slice.

4. Preserve Watermelons

You'll Need:

  • 1 watermelon
  • candles
  • plastic storage bin
  • old newspapers

Here's How:

4.1 Do you ever get a craving for the refreshing taste of watermelon after the season is over? At that point, it's close impossible to find one in the grocery store, but there's a great trick for keeping watermelons fresh for up to 6 months! Light a few candles and cover the entire watermelon in candle wax.

4.2 Line a large plastic container with crumpled up newspaper and place the wax-covered watermelon inside. Seal the storage container, and the newspaper will absorb any moisture that would have otherwise affected the watermelon. Now you'll be able to enjoy a refreshing treat in the middle of winter!

5. Watermelon Hearts

You'll Need:

  • 1 watermelon
  • knife

Here's How:

5.1 Watermelon is such a gorgeous fruit, it's a shame to serve it the same old way over and over again. With just a little creativity, you can serve watermelon in an extra special way  by slicing it up into little hearts! Start by cutting off a thick piece that's about ¼ of the whole melon and slice off the end pieces.

5.2 Cut off the rind.

5.3 Cut a small triangle out of the center of the curved side of the piece of watermelon.

5.4 Slice the watermelon into individual heart-shaped pieces.

6. Watermelon & Kiwi Slushy

You'll Need:
