8 Gym Hacks To Make Your Life Easier

Whether you love it or hate, working out and living a healthier lifestyle are necessary evils once you reach a certain age. Or maybe you just live for the endorphin rush you get from hitting the gym! Either way, it's important to get the most out of your session, so here are 8 workout tips to make the whole experience much more enjoyable.

1. Eliminate Smelly Armpits

You'll Need:

  • hand sanitizer

Here's How:

To get rid of body odor and stinky pits, just rub some hand sanitizer on your armpits. This will kill the bacteria and mask the smell so you can work out with confidence!

2. Yoga Mat Holder

You'll Need:

  • hair ties

Here's How:

1.1 Tie several hair ties together with simple loops.

1.2 Create two large lops on either end by pulling one end through the other.

1.3 Pull the band over the sports mat and now you can easily carry it over your shoulder and ensure it won't unravel on your way to the gym.

3. Non-Slip Socks

You'll Need:

  • hot glue

Here's How:

If you prefer to workout in your socks, this trick is worth its weight in gold. Use a hot glue gun to apply several wavy lines to the underside of your socks. Let the glue dry and feel free to run around in your brand new non-slip socks.

4. Shampoo & Shower Gel Holder

You'll Need:

  • contact lens case

Here's How:

If you don't feel like lugging multiple bottles around, you can fill a contacts lens case with just enough liquid to get you through the after-workout shower.

5. Smartphone Holder

You'll Need:

  • crew sock
  • scissors

Here's How:

There's no need to shell out big bucks for a phone armband when you can easily make your own for next to nothing! All you have to do is cut off the upper part of a crew sock, just above the ankle. If you want a longer DIY armband, try a tube sock.

6. Shoe Cover

You'll Need:

  • shower cap

Here's How:

Dirty shoes are the worst, especially when you have to transport them in your gym bag. To keep the rest of the contents of the bag from getting dirty, place the shoes in a shower cap before placing them in your bag.

7. Underwear Cover

You'll Need:

  • sweatshirt

Here's How:

If you want to hide underwear lines or a sweaty behind, go ahead and tie a sweatshirt around your hips to cover  it up.

8. Packing Tip

Here's How:

Packing is a skill and saving space is an art. Lay your clothes out, stack them on top of each other, and roll them up as one. Not only do you save space, but everything stays clean and organized!

Grab your yoga mat, toss the hand sanitizer, shower cap, and filled contact lens case in your gym bag, and off you go!
