Detractors may have you believe that pranks are for children, but what do they know?! April Fools' Day is the perfect day to let your imagination run wild and pull some truly imaginative pranks on unsuspecting people. But where to begin? There's no shortage of ideas on the internet, and you could miss April Fools' Day just by looking at all of them. That's why we've narrowed it down to the 7 perfect pranks. After all, what's so bad about having a little bit of fun?!

1. Toothpaste Oreos

You'll Need:

  • Oreo cookies
  • toothpaste

Here's How:

Twist the top half of the Oreo off of the bottom half and remove the cream filling. Spread toothpaste on the cookies and then put the halves back together. They are going to look exactly like they did before.

2. Chocolate Pickles

You'll Need:

  • pickles
  • toothpicks
  • melted dark chocolate
  • melted white chocolate
  • chocolate box

Here's How:

Cut a pickle into small pieces and stick a toothpick through each piece. Then dip the pickle pieces into melted dark chocolate. Remove the toothpick and decorate the chocolates with melted white chocolate before placing them in a chocolate box.

3. Exploding Coke Bottle

You'll Need:

  • Mentos
  • needle
  • thread
  • Coke bottle

Here's How:

Thread 2 Mentos together and hang them into the Coke bottle by the thread. Let a small piece of thread poke out and close the lid. As soon as your "victim" tries to open the bottle, the Mentos are going to fall into the bottle and create an exploding lava effect.

4. Candy Onions

You'll Need:

  • sugar
  • water
  • red food coloring
  • onions
  • wooden skewer

Here's How:

Heat sugar, water, and red food coloring in a pot until it reaches 300°F. Put the onion on a wooden skewer and dip it into the red coating. Now give the "candy apple" to your person of choice and watch their face change when they bite into it.

5. Margarine Ice Cream

You'll Need:

  • margarine
  • pepper
  • waffle cone
  • ice cream sprinkles

Here's How:

Put the margarine in a bowl and soften it with a hand mixer. Add a little bit of pepper to make the ice cream look like it has vanilla bean freckles and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Use an ice cream scooper to put a few scoops in a waffle cone and garnish the "ice cream" by topping it with sprinkles.

6. Wasabi Macarons

You'll Need:

  • macarons
  • wasabi paste

Here's How:

As with the Oreos, replace the filling in between the macaron halves, in this case with wasabi paste. Put the halves back together and watch the look of surprise on the face of the person you're pranking.

7. Brussels Sprout Pops

You'll Need:

  • Brussels sprouts
  • wooden skewers
  • melted dark chocolate
  • sprinkles

Here's How:

Place each Brussels sprout on a wooden skewer and dip into melted dark chocolate. Add some sprinkles on top and let the chocolate cool. The easiest way to do that is by placing the "cake pops" in a vessel of some kind.
