DIY confetti cannons for a popping good New Year's Eve!

No party is complete without a little confetti flying around! And is there a better way to get it flying and kick the party into high gear than a homemade confetti cannon? Here's a quick and easy way to make this popping good party favor.

You'll need:

  • balloons
  • toilet paper rolls
  • decorative paper
  • glue
  • scissors

Here's how:

First, use the scissors cut the closed end of the balloon.

Now tie the other end of the balloon in a knot.

Pull the balloon over the opening of the toilet paper roll. About two inches should be enough.

Measure out enough decorative paper to cover the toilet paper roll. It should be exactly the size of the roll so that there isn't any excess paper protruding over the edge.

Cover the inner side of the decorative paper with glue and wrap it around the toilet paper roll. Make sure that it secures the balloon tightly.

To spice up your design you can add an extra strip of different paper to the upper part of the cannon.

And you're done! All that's left to do is fill it with confetti, pull the end of the balloon and let it go — pop! Now, that's a party!

What a great way to ring in the new year! Happy 2017!
