Build a snowman with three goldfish bowls
Remember Olaf from the movie "Frozen"? The little snowman who stole the protagonists' (and audiences') hearts... Well, if you want your very own permanent snowman for your living room this winter, look no further for easy instructions. Kids will love this one too.
You'll need:
- three sizes of goldfish bowls
- christmas decorations (among others, electric tealights)
- artificial snow
- black foam rubber
- scissors
- decorative ribbon
- glue gun
Here's how:
First, fill the largest of your fishbowls a quarter of the way up with artificial snow.
Then set up your Christmas decorations. How about a wintry forest scene? You can get little trees like these wherever model trains are sold.
Now pour artificial snow into the next largest bowl.
And set up some more decorations, maybe a little Santa Claus or any other little figurines you have available.
You can guess the next step: take the smallest bowl and fill it a quarter way up with artificial snow.
Here's a chance to use your battery-operated electric tealight. It adds a lovely lighting effect.
For the grand finale, get out your black foam rubber, shape it into a cylinder, and wrap the decorative ribbon around it. Stack the bowls and add your black top hat:
You're finished!

There's nothing like good craft ideas to add some cozy warmth to the cold winter months. And since we all know that goldfish bowls are entirely inappropriate housing for actual goldfish, it's good to have an ideal use for them!
