Homemade Decorations To Show Off The Best Of Fall

With the evenings getting longer, there's nothing better than snuggling up under a duvet on the couch and watching your favorite TV shows. As you spend more time inside, it makes sense to create the perfect autumnal atmosphere in your own home. So here are two neat DIY ideas that'll add a cozy and seasonal touch to your living room!

1. Fall Leaf Bowl

You'll Need:

  • leaves in various colors
  • craft glue
  • two bowls
  • plastic wrap

Here's How:

1.1 First place two bowls of different sizes on top of each other facing down; the smaller bowl should be on top of the larger one. Then pull the plastic wrap over the smaller bowl.

1.2 Spread craft glue on the wrap and cover it with leaves. The leaves should keep the shape of the bowl as the glue dries.

1.3 Spread craft glue on the outside of the leaves.

1.4 Leave the glue to dry before carefully removing the leaves from the wrap and the bowl. It's as simple as that.

2. Fall Leaf Lantern

You'll Need:

  • leaves in various colors
  • craft glue
  • one Mason jar
  • some string

Here's How:

2.1 First spread craft glue on the outside of the Mason jar.

2.2 Then stick on individual leaves before covering them in craft glue.

2.3 Now spread glue on the outer rim of the Mason jar and wrap string around it.

2.4 Once the glue has dried, you can place tea lights inside.

Those are some great ideas for this transitional time of year. No matter what the weather is doing, these two simple projects will show off the season's best side in your living room.
