With this easy-to-make solution, you'll never have to scrape ice again
Is there anything more miserable about winter than the extra time you spend — teeth chattering — scraping the ice from your car windows before you can even think about heading off to work? Once you know this trick, you can pretty much throw your ice scraper away. You won't believe how quick and easy it is to de-ice your car!
You will need:
- 1 spray bottle
- 20 fl oz (600 ml) rubbing alcohol
- 7 fl oz (200 ml) water
- a few drops of dishwashing liquid
Simply mix the three components in an appropriately sized spray bottle. On mornings when the windows are covered in ice, simply fire away! Generously spray everything and allow it to work. The rest comes down to the power of physics!
The diluted alcohol melts the ice almost instantly and the dishwashing liquid acts as a lubricant for your windshield wipers to finish up the job. So then: safe travels!
