Father transforms electric scooter into Barbie mobile
Not every little girl dreams of owning an electric scooter, but check out what this father created for his daughter. He managed to transform the scooter into a pink dream mobile that lets his daughter feel like Barbie.
He started with this electric scooter that he got for $50 on eBay.
He gathered inspiration for the transformation from construction sketches of military vehicles.
First he had to separate the scooter into individual components.
He then built a wooden frame for the foundation of the miniature car.
Dad then attached a new lower seat for the vehicle.
He broke down the old steering mechanism into individual pieces to create the new steering column.
He picked up a BMW steering wheel from a junk yard and attached it to the base.
The original control panel was kept intact, but he added a manual handbrake.
Then he built a hood to protect the motor.
Of course, the whole thing was then painted pink to make his daughter's heart sing.
The little one must feel like quite the diva in her new Barbie car. Hard to believe this used to be a scooter meant for the elderly!
