Quirky planters made from old recycled shoes
Did you break the heel off your favorite stilettos? Is there a hole in your rain boots? Are the soles worn through in your favorite pumps? I know it hurts, but before tossing them in the trash, try placing them out in the garden. You can give your old shoes new life as a planter or flower vase. Check these ones out:
Even the most hideous clogs will look good with plants sprouting out of them. Before trying this yourself, you should add a layer of plastic wrap to the inside of your shoes to make them waterproof and remember that not every shoe is well suited to hold flowers, cloth tennis shoes, for example, are quick to disintegrate.
