Six tips for organizing your trip like a champ

It's summer, you've made up your mind, you're going on vacation! You've chosen the destination, you're ready to tell your boss, but have you really thought of everything?

Here is a list of neat tricks that will allow you to travel without worrying too much.

1. Buying the plane tickets

When you're only browsing, be sure to surf privately and delete your browser history.

If you want to buy tickets, Tuesday at 3 p.m. is the best time, you'll get cheaper seats that way!

These two tricks can you save dozens of dollars!

2. The seats on the plane

If you're traveling with another person, choose the seats at both ends of a row of three. It's rare that a person books the seat between two that are already occupied. You'll have a free seat just for you!

3. Save space in the suitcase

To save space, all you need to do is roll your clothes up, instead of folding them! It may seem like nothing, but it can make a huge difference when you want to cram in those shoes you absolutely MUST take with you.

4. Pro tips from regular travelers

  • Coil your belt in the open neck of your shirt, to keep it in good shape!
  • Put your shoes in your shower cap, soles down. It protects your clothes from any dirt.

5. Map tricks for your phone

When you're on vacation, if you're worried about coping without unlimited internet, you can:

  • Connect to Wifi Map. This app allows you to see where the "hotspots" are in the city you're visiting, which provide free access to the internet.
  • Use the "Area out of connection" feature on Google Maps. Before you leave, download the map of the place you are going to, in order to familiarize yourself with it. And remember, you don't need internet connection to use GPS.

6. Important documents

Before you go, take a picture, scan or make a copy of all your documents to help keep track of them. Send the copies to your email address, just in case you lose them while traveling. With this trick, you'll be able to prove your identity if asked by officials.

You are now ready for departure. Remember, that the best trips are often not planned, but if you take these basic steps, you'll be ready for any opportunities that present themselves! Travel safe and enjoy!
